Social experiment: If you read this, even if we don't speak often, post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want. When you're finished, post this paragraph on your own blog and you will be surprised with what people remember about you.
PS: Okie I tried doing this in Facebook (courtesy a friend)… and also in Twitter but the latter one did not work because of the word limit.. :D
So here it is in Blogger… just to see whether it works.. :-)
So its been a month since I landed in Singapore… actually a month and a half almost…
And what have I been doing these last 45 days apart from neglecting my blog, applying for jobs and roaming around Singapore??
I have been watching movies…
So how many have I watched after coming here ?
7.
That’s right SEVEN.
This is not counting the ones I watch at home… :D
Anyways…
So here’s my short and some certainly not sweet verdict of the movies are…
#^# Angels and Demons
Pretty good.. I mean it! I am not a huge fan of those movies that are based on books but this one I liked… of course the director has made major changes to the storyline in the book but that has worked for the movie in the bigger sense. I liked the acting of the villain and for most part it’s been portrayed authentically. I have read that book atleast 3-4 times and still I was hooked to the movie! So this one is a must-watch.
#^# The taking of Pelham 123
It was ok. Decent effort. And the dialogue exchange between Denzel Washington and John Travolta is very good. And John Travolta kicks ass with his role. I personally liked the movie. One-time watch.
#^# The ghost of the girlfriend’s past
Funny. Witty. Hilarious. Timepass. Good fun to watch when you have nothing to do and you want to while away your time.
#^# New York
Yes! The Hindi movie New York! Hmm.. the first one and half hours is nice to watch. Suspense and romance and songs and all that. But the ending was miserable. Clichéd. Dumb. And stupid. Really! I liked it purely because of Neil Nitin Mukesh and John Abraham. And also liked the way Irfan Khan acted. He was good. Not upto his usual standards but quite good.
#^# Ice Age 3
Good. Worth your money. Excellent animation and thoroughly enjoyable whatever age group you belong to.
#^# Duplicity
Waste of time. Though the ending kicked ass. But that’s just couple of scenes and that’s not worth your while to sit through the entire movie to watch that ending. You have better movies.
#^# Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen
Yes I am saving the best for the last. This one takes the cake. Of all time comedies. I swear! It was so funny that I got a stitch in my side watching it. After one point in the midst of all the dust and screws and nuts and bolts flying about you lose track of which machine is good and which one’s bad. The only thing you hear is clanging! Clang! Bam! Whoosh! And the sentiments… don’t even get me started. Put together the worst hindi movie you have seen with really senti Malayalam dialogues and some scences from classic tragic Tamil movies with all the gasping for life, and eyes fluttering open… you have transformers … I rest my case!
I also watched a couple of them on laptop but those were old and not quite new. But do watch Arundhati (telugu), Pokkiri (tamil or telugu), P.S. I love you, and My Sassy girl. The latter 2 are good watches.
